I really enjoyed this book! This whole series has been wonderful--funny, poignant, and heart-warning. There was a really good sense of closure by the end of the book, which was nice.I really enjoyed Sam and Rhys. I wasn't sure I would like Sam as much as I ended up liking her, because I didn't really connect with her when she was the side character, but she was was actually very lovable. And at first, I wasn't too sure about Rhys--aka Grandpa Gosling--because he was kinda too prickly for my taste, at the beginning, though it makes sense for his character and situation. But I actually did think his prickliness was well done and reasonable, if that makes any sense at all. He's not my favorite hero from this series, but he's still a good guy. I was very surprised by his actions in literally the last scene of the book--in a hilarious and "what the heck?" kind of way.The main plot follows a work-related road trip Sam and Rhys are forced to go on, which allows them to go from enemies, to friends, to crushes, to lovers, to more. The progression between each stage is precious, and their string of mishaps on their trip is highly amusing, if a little far-fetched. (Each individual event is believable, but having them all happen together seems so crazy--which is also remarked upon by media in the story which was actually hilarious).Anyway, I definitely recommend this book if you enjoy clean romantic comedies! I look forward to future romantic comedies from Emma St. Clair in the future! [While each book in this series can stand alone, this is an ensemble of characters that we see in each installment, & it's a funner, fuller experience to read them in order]At the beginning of this series, Sam appeared to have everything going for her. Now, as book 6 begins, she's losing everything. She & Grandpa Gosling, aka Rhys, are pressed into a shared promotional tour by their publisher.Of course you know that the close proximity's going to force them to get to know each other better, especially since Sam's determined to pull Rhys out of his taciturnity, but there are secrets that will be increasingly difficult to hide.Sam & Rhys are both confused by & struggling with the bizarre turn their lives have taken. The way they end up together is believable & funny, but also has a poignancy that keeps you emotionally invested & rooting for their happiness.The tabloid coverage of their tour is pretty hysterical - and painfully very true to how it is in real life!The scene with how to write a first kiss is one of the yummiest romance scenes I've ever read - keep a fan handy!This is such a perfect ending for this fantastic series!
